Dr. David Britton

Helping organisations design, execute and interpret world-class proteomics studies.

I am a proteomics scientist and consultant with over 20 years of experience working across academia, biotech, and clinical research. I specialise in helping companies design robust experiments, develop targeted and discovery LC-MS/MS workflows, interpret complex datasets, and translate proteomics findings into actionable biological insights.

As co-founder and former CSO of Kinomica Ltd, I helped develop advanced phosphoproteomics technologies used to stratify cancer patients and support precision medicine programmes. Through Global Proteomics Limited, I now work with biotech and pharma clients worldwide, providing technical and strategic expertise to accelerate research and development.

Dr. Nick Morrice

Dr. Nick Morrice obtained his PhD from the University of London in 1987 and after 7 years at the University of Melbourne in Australia, joined the MRC Protein Phosphorylation Unit at the University of Dundee with Professor Sir Philip Cohen.

He set up the proteomics facility for both the University of Dundee and the MRC Unit.

He moved to Beatson Institute for Cancer Research In 2010 as Head of Proteomics and Group Leader.

After setting up a successful proteomics and metabolomics facility he joined Sciex in 2014 as a senior support specialist for proteomics.

He was the Global Support Specialist for Proteomics delivering training on the 7600 ZenoTOF system in many high profile laboratories.

Dr. Nick Morrice has published over 200 papers in the field of signal transduction and proteomics and has been a member of a number of scientific societies such as The Biochemical Society a the ABRF.

Dr. Karin Barouin

Dr. Karin Barouin is a scientifically curious molecular biomarker scientist with expertise in pre-clinical translational biomarker development in the pharmaceutical industry.

She has a track record in cancer research, biomarker discovery, advanced proteomics, and shaping translational sciences strategy across multiple therapeutic areas and modalities.

Adept in cross-functional collaboration to generate and analyze complex large data sets, including machine learning specialists, to discover and verify proof of mechanism, pharmacodynamic or prognostic biomarkers to support the translational sciences from early drug discovery into clinical application.

Committed cross-functional collaborator and mentor, passionate about driving innovation in precision medicine, improving health, and developing medicines for cancer patients where there is an unmet medical need.
